Kristyn Vasconcelles traveled from the the rolling green pastures and sunny beaches of Kauai to enroll as a freshman student in Twin Falls, Idaho.  She attends the College of Southern Idaho, which is also known as CSI.  Her mom Cheree reports that Kristyn really likes the school and being part of the college rodeo team.  She currently is doing dally team and breakaway roping and hopes to enter barrel racing next season, provided that she finds a good barrel horse (maybe even import her mom's horse from Kauai!). The Fall Season is over for 2008 and the rodeo students break for the winter.  Kristyn recently sustained an injury to her knee and will undergo surgery this week.

We all wish her a speedy recovery to be back in action next year.
